Hollywood Is In The Toilet

Toilet Whisperer

Where does your optimism come from?

Every time I discover a toilet in the wild, it tells me something about the world around us. It’s not always pretty – but by filtering the abandoned and broken through a fluffy cloud and puppy dog lens, it helps the positive nuggets of any situation naturally shine through. And from that positivity comes hope. And it’s hope that creates the optimism.

Can you describe three important qualities, skills or areas of knowledge in your work.

Discovering toilets in the wild requires the confidence to walk into scary allies, an ability to stop quick, turn around, pull over and jump out of a car with the unbridled fortitude to snap away while others look at you like a freak. In Hollywood, this translates into a sniffing out fresh opportunities and coming up with unique ways to put yourself out there to go for it.

Will enough ever be enough?

I was discouraged when Guinness World Records thought the world’s largest photographic collection of abandoned photographs in the wild (over 1200 at last count) was too weird. But I found new light when the United Nations lauded my “Perfect Life” video for its promotion of clean sanitation around the world. Now, as I continue to log miles all around LA , I still find the thrill of the hunt and desire to capture things in a unique way just as odd and joyful as when I found that first toilet on the side of Hollywood Boulevard.

What’s next for Kid Porcelain and the Toilets in the Wild Brand?

Excited about the publication of “The Adventures of Kid Porcelain” – it’s a Hollywood story of evolution and metamorphosis. Moving forward, manifesting a promotional tour of toilet-obsessed Japan, a local gallery show, a duet with Skibidi Toilet and an American Standard, Toto or Squatty Potty sponsorship.

Live Your Best Life

”Jersey Shore”

Situation
Andrew Stewart is a successful San Francisco Architect. At his best, he’s a smart, likable professional, with a wide range of interesting accomplishments to his credit. Unfortunately, Andrew often focuses on the negative, which keeps him from moving forward on issues important to his long-term growth. Stuck in a rut and frustrated by his own frustration, Andrew requested ‘a new life.’

Life Script for Jersey Shore.

Life Scripts™
Because life’s not so hard if you know what to say.

Idea
Character development, with a goal of bringing Andrew’s finest qualities to the surface more often. This would allow him to deal with life’s daily situations from his most positive headspace.

Execution
To change repetitive behaviors, it was determined that Andrew had to truly change how he acted. He needed to ‘become someone else’ and adapt a new personality. Reaching into his past, it was discovered that Andrew’s biggest smiles came from thinking about his Summers on the East Coast.

Execution
A more positive rock-star-like alter ego was created for Andrew and he was given a new name: JERSEY SHORE. Jersey represented the best of Andrew Stewart.

Andrew studied his part. Then he had his hair cut at a nice salon and bought more stylish clothes to help complete the Jersey Shore transformation.

The Unveiling
Jersey was introduced at a gallery opening. Instantly, he was the center of attention. Normally shy, his smile was ear-to-ear. Conversation and laughter surrounded him. His confidence soared.

Attributable Highlights
New house and SUV, multiple dates, a series of positive business moves and an invitation to an exclusive local fashion show.

Where do you go to keep going?

Banjo, we’re thrilled to have you share your thoughts and lessons with the Bold Journey community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

When it comes to resilience, I tend to look for lessons from the streets of Los Angeles. I love a good walkabout. And my best thinking and most meaningful interactions come from hoofing through one-off neighborhoods and stumbled-upon alleys and speaking with those I might not normally interact with.

Danny James Moore has been homeless in Hollywood since 1986. Along the way, we would see each other in the oddest places and began to say hello. His lifestyle fascinated me from the start and our chit-chat expanded naturally into more of a rat-a-tat-tat.

One day, we decided to sit for a series of ‘talk and tips’ intended to help people new to living on the streets survive more peacefully and successfully. The hope was also to create an outlet for someone who might normally not be heard by providing a platform that would elevate them to expert status.

Danny and I discussed a wide range of survive on-the-street topics like tents, storage, acceptance, food, family, protecting yourself, getting a good night’s sleep, finding help, showering, drugs, discrimination, friends, possessions, the bathroom, staying informed, relationships, exercise, sex, trust and more.

As I continue my own journey out there in Hollywood, thinking about Danny’s resilience – day after day – week after week – season after season and year after year has become a go-to source of ‘inspiration’ whenever it’s time for myself to dig deep.
